Dr. Dave Luttinen
Dr. Dave Luttinen is the hospital owner and one of the veterinarians at Wheaton Way Veterinary Hospital in Bremerton, WA.

While earning a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA, he volunteered as a veterinary assistant at the Exotic Cat Park. After working with animals he elected to switch from pre-medicine to veterinary medicine with a focus on reproduction. In 2001, Dr. Luttinen graduated with honors from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, WA.

Dr. Luttinen purchased Wheaton Way Veterinary Hospital in August 2005. Dr. Luttinen earned his board certification as one of ten Diplomates of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Washington state specializing in dog and cat practice in 2009. Dr. Luttinen loves the responsibility of case investigation and particularly enjoys complicated and challenging conditions. While he practices in all areas of veterinary medicine and surgery, he has a special interest in dentistry, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and oncology (cancer treatment).

Dr. Luttinen strives to blend his knowledge and skill as a veterinarian with his desire to facilitate the human-animal bond. This requires communicating complex medical problems to the client, listening to their expectations, and developing a plan that will provide the best outcome. He has realized that his true purpose isn’t for himself, but rather to serve his patients, clients, staff, family, profession, and community while giving people hope and encouragement during difficult times with a suffering pet.

Dr. Luttinen is a devoted husband and father to his lovely and supportive wife and their four daughters. Dr. and Mrs. Luttinen also share their home with four cats and three dogs. Dr. Luttinen is committed to becoming a better person each day while fulfilling his role as a member of the veterinary and business community.

Dr. Whitney Brown
Associate DVM
Dr. Brown has started her adventure with the WWVH family in May 2018. She grew up on the East Coast riding horses and working on a horse ranch through high school. At 16 years old she started working as a vet assistant and eventually graduated from the Auburn University Veterinary School in 2011. She took an additional 2 years of advanced training in Theriogenology and animal reproduction.

Dr. Brown loves learning new things every day, caring for and treating pet. She shares her home with her husband Jeff, hr Alabama Brown Dog named Nova, domestic longhair kitty named Maggie Mae and a Dutch Warmblood brood mare named Winona. When she’s not hard at work at WWVH, she enjoys hiking, kayaking and crafting.
